Welcome to the Hollow
Beyond the mossy trees and whispering hedgerows lies a little world stitched together with stories.
The Hollow is a quiet forest village where teacups bloom with herbs, letters travel by paw, and every corner hums with the gentle rhythm of creative life. Here, a flour-dusted mouse stirs honey into the bread dough. A soft-footed fox coaxes wildflowers from the soil. A quick-footed rabbit delivers handwritten notes tied with twine and pressed leaves. Explore below our characters and the stories written about them.
This is a place for those who love slow mornings, inky sketches, handwritten letters, and soft-woven stories. A place to pause. A place to wonder. A place to belong.
Come in. The kettle’s on.
— Sam
Meet Ollie Crumb
Ollie Crumb is a round-cheeked mouse with flour-dusted fur and a warm laugh that smells faintly of cinnamon. He wears a crisp apron with blueberry stains and a patch sewn on the pocket from too much whisking. His bakery, The Thistle Oven, is always glowing with golden light and the smell of rising dough.
Inside, bags of flour line the shelves beside baskets of cooling scones. A little bell over the door jingles each time a neighbor stops in for a warm bun or kind word. Ollie believes every good story starts with something baking.
He’s quick with a joke, slow with his kneading, and happiest when there’s flour in the air and a pie in the window.
“Even the smallest crumb can fill a heart with joy when shared with a friend.”
— Ollie Crumb

Meet Willow Fernly
Willow Fernly is the quiet soul of the Hollow — a gentle fox who finds her happiness among the growing things. With a well-worn apron and pockets full of seeds, she spends her days tending to her herb garden, pressing flowers into journals, and weaving little garlands of rosemary and chamomile.
Willow’s world moves at the pace of the seasons: slow, thoughtful, and full of small, meaningful moments. She believes in the quiet magic of rain tapping on the greenhouse roof, of handwritten letters tucked into a friend’s basket, and of tea shared under the flowering branches of a tree.
Kind, observant, and a little shy, Willow has a gift for noticing the tiny wonders that others might pass by — a new sprout pushing through the soil, or the soft hum of bees gathering in the lavender.
Here in the Hollow, Willow Fernly’s story is just beginning.
I hope you’ll enjoy getting to know her.
"Everything grows a little kinder with time, water, and quiet care."
– Willow Fernly
The Rabbit Postmaster
With ink-stained paws and a satchel full of stories, Quillby Hop is the Hollow’s devoted postmaster. He’s often spotted hopping briskly along forest paths, delivering letters tied with twine and sealed with wax. His handwriting is neat, his pockets are full of pressed flowers and biscuit crumbs, and he always knows just the right thing to say—though he rarely says it aloud.
Quillby loves the hush of morning, old maps, and journals lined in linen. Though quiet by nature, his thoughts run deep—and sometimes, they spill onto paper in poems no one has read. He takes pride in making sure every letter finds its way, and he always carries a little something extra—just in case someone needs cheering up.
In the quiet corners of the Hollow, you might find him sitting beneath a tree, rereading a favorite letter, or sketching a curious stamp design. He believes in the magic of small things, and in the way a kind word, properly posted, can travel far.
"I don’t mind the long paths. Good thoughts often need time to arrive."
– Quillby Hop
